Dear Kathleen;

I have suffered from Menieres disease for approximately 10 years for which my ear nose throat specialist recommended I see a trained audiologist or hearing care specialist for hearing device options.  Since that time I now wear a hearing aid and I am very comfortable with the benefit it provides.  I've had excellent attention and support each time I visit your clinic.  It has indeed been my good fortune to have been referred here.
Sincerely yours,

P. Oshann

At three months of age we had our son checked by his Dr., after a two minute check and snapping his fingers at each ear, we were assured he was fine. For the next year we knew something was wrong, we knew he had a hearing loss but we didn't know to what extent. We went for his check up at 15 months and they asked the basic milestone questions, "If you ask him to go get the ball, does he?" I said "he can't hear me say ball so, no, he doesn't know to go get it". I left that appointment and booked one with our new family Dr. He was shocked as I said I knew Aiden was deaf and I was wondering to what degree, he asked why I had never mentioned it before, Aiden had his own Dr. until recently when he moved away. This was the first time I felt I could stand up and push. He snapped his fingers and I asked that he stand behind him and yell, Aiden didn't react. The Dr. said he trusted mother's instinct and so he booked us for hearing tests, they found no response. We saw an ENT and then we were sent for an ABR. Aiden had no response even on the ABR, we were told he had little or no chance of hearing, that our best bet was a Cochlear Implant. We had made an appointment at the Professional Audiology Clinic when we were getting the ABR done, so if he needed hearing aids we would be ready. After our discouraging news from the Audiologist I called Kathleen at the clinic to cancel our appointment as we were told hearing aids wouldn't work. On the other end of the phone Kathleen started to tell me about these Sumo Hearing Aids and that they were the strongest available, she convinced me to just give them a try. We did! She gave us hope when no one else had! Aiden was responding to sound the second day he wore the Hearing Aids, it was a long trip home the first day and he slept the whole way home. So now he is 4 1/2, he has one of his original hearing aids and a cochlear implant he received in June. He has done so much with sound! He has been in school for two years, and he is catchingup! Kathleen and Amber have always helped us out, even when Aiden's brother made a hearing aid disappear. Our family has always been happy & very satisfied with the service and friendly environment they provide. I truly appreciate everything they have done to make our transitions easier and smooth. I tell everyone we meet that has hearing needs of any kind about the fabulous team at Professional Audiology. We hope they will be able to help us for many years to come.
